The Willamette Valley, stretching from Eugene in the south to the Columbia River, is one of the most fertile farming areas in the U.S. and home to the vast majority of Oregon's populations. Along its foothills, streams and watersfalls, especially at Silver Falls State Park, flow down into the farmland on the valley floor.
