The Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge boasts more high waterfalls than anywhere else in the United States with the exception of Yosemite Valley. Oregon's highest waterfall and greatest natural tourist attraction, Multnomah Falls, is the centerpiece of the scenic drive that includes at least seven other notable falls. At the east end of the Gorge, the fertile Hood River Valley leads up to the slopes of Mt. Hood.
