The Sierra Nevada mountains are home to numerous rugged wilderness areas featuring a host of alpine lakes, rugged peaks, hidden meadows, and crystal-clear streams. Three national parks--Yosemite, King's Canyon, and Sequoia--are found in this one magnificent area that John Muir called "the Range of Light."
