Coyote Buttes is part of the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness Area on the Utah-Arizona border. Its most famous formation is called The Wave, known to landscape photographers around the world. The BLM limits entry to only 20 people per day, half by lottery at the ranger station and half obtained months in advance.
